Job summary

Black Diamond is seeking a Part Time Retail Associate in Jackson, WY to deliver outstanding customer service in a specialty outdoor store. You will assist shoppers, provide expert product knowledge on climbing, skiing and mountaineering gear, manage POS transactions, and ensure the sales floor is clean and organized.

Key duties include helping customers select rental/demo gear, stocking backroom, and maintaining safety and store policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred: 1 year of retail sales in an outdoor specialty store.
• Excellent customer relation skills and knowledge of POS systems.
• Knowledge of climbing, backcountry skiing and mountaineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information, advice and service while maintaining a high level of courtesy.
• Accurate entry of merchandise, payments and customer details in the POS system.
• Resolve customer relations and satisfaction issues promptly.
• Fit customers properly for rental/demo equipment.
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Restocking and managing backstock including lifting gear.
• Open and close the store in the absence of management.
• Adhere to store policies, safety and quality standards.

# Part Time Retail Associate - Jackson, WYJACKSON HOLE, WY 83001## DescriptionThe Retail Associate’s primary responsibility is maintaining a highly positive customer experience by providing exceptional customer service. This includes in-depth practical and product knowledge of climbing, skiing and mountaineering; the ability to transfer that knowledge in a sensible fashion and a willingness to assist customers of all levels with their needs. Must be able to communicate well in a friendly, welcoming fashion. Other duties include being responsible for general store maintenance to keep sales floor appearance at its best.
