Job summary

Smart & Final is seeking a Part-Time Associate for the 310 Los Angeles location. You will support store operations, assist customers, stock shelves, and handle basic cash register duties in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to lift moderate weights, and good communication skills. This position is part-time with starting pay of $18.50 per hour and benefits including retirement and education programs where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English and interact with the public and coworkers.
• Ability to read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information clearly in one‑on‑one or small group settings.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently 45 pounds, occasionally 60 pounds.
• Experience with cash handling and basic computer tasks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section, stock merchandise, and ensure proper pricing and rotation.
• Operate a cash register, process payments, and handle refunds under supervision.
• Assist customers and help load purchases to their vehicles when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping and record goods in the store system.
