Job summary

Michaels Stores in Sarasota, FL is seeking a part-time retail associate to help customers, stock shelves, and operate the register. You will assist with in-store, online, and pickup-in-store processes and contribute to a well-merchandised, in-stock store.

The role emphasizes friendly service, efficient checkout, and cross-training in framing and promotional programs. Evening and weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around a store.
• Must be at least 16 years old or older as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain store recovery and merchandise stock, including returns/go backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; interact professionally with customers and teammates.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
