Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role focuses on daily store activities, inventory flow, and leading a team to meet company standards.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to supervise associates, ensure superb customer experiences, and uphold safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor, including seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping.
• Ensure store areas are well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and train staff.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
