Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise, assist customers, and ensure daily store activities run smoothly.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, adherence to safety policies, and supervising store associates to maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming environment. This position emphasizes teamwork and excellent service across the store floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; supervise and develop store associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
