Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help with daily functions, lead by example, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, merchandising, training associates, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store, and protecting company assets while delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure staff follow policies and safety guidelines and provide training to associates.
