Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organization and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and informational requests.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines are followed.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, respectful environment around customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, floors and common areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
