Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an energetic retail associate to support daily store operations in Rochester Hills, MI. You will assist customers, organize merchandise, and help maintain seasonal and promotional displays, while supporting opening/closing procedures and daily administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Retail or store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent standing/walking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned*.
