Dollar Tree in Abilene, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and the development of store associates.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, loss prevention, and implementing corporate directives while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment.

This part-time position offers opportunities for growth and hands-on leadership in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/store management experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom; protect store assets.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
