Job summary

Family Dollar in Zanesville, Ohio is seeking a part-time associate to support daily store operations and deliver friendly, helpful service to customers. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform active duties including walking, standing, bending, and climbing

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
