Family Dollar in Monahans, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves efficiently through stockrooms and floors.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a part-time role with emphasis on customer satisfaction and store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives is required.
• Retail management experience in grocery, drug store, or retail environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as described (standing, walking, stooping, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities to support operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store meets standards.
