Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) seeks a Restaurant Server for Hanna’s Table at the J Resort in Reno, NV. This full-time, hourly non-exempt position offers a base pay of $12.00 per hour plus tips and a dynamic, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking and inputting orders, ensuring timely service, handling payments, and maintaining table cleanliness. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years in a large-volume restaurant, English fluency,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a large-volume restaurant.
• Fluent in English with good written and math skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately and guide them through menus with hospitality.
• Provide friendly service to encourage guests to return.
• Accurately record food orders to meet exact specifications.
• Ensure all food and beverages are served promptly and correctly.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with front-of-house operations systems.
• Verify age for alcohol according to state laws and policies.
• Know menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Write down orders and input them for delivery at proper pace.
• Assist Food Runner with delivering food when possible.
• Check on guests, maintain table cleanliness and refills.
• Perform opening, side work, and closing duties; handle payments.
