Job summary

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a part-time role on weekends and evenings (about 15 hours per week). Required Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent and an accredited RT program certificate; NY RT license or RT Technician license is required.

Qualifications

• Education: HSD or equivalent; RT program certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensure: New York State RT license (or RT Technician).
• Experience: prior respiratory therapy, critical care or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy and care plans for patients with acute or chronic conditions.
• Administer treatments: oxygen, incentive spirometry, nebulization; monitor status.
• Record vitals and track respiratory status; educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with providers to adjust care plans; participate in rounds.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with infection control protocols.
