The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RN for weekend and evening hours (approximately 15 hours per week). The role emphasizes compassionate care, strong clinical skills, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications include an Associate or BSN with an active RN license and prior respiratory therapy experience in acute, critical care or related settings.

Qualifications

• RN license active in NY State
• Experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas
• Strong nursing foundations applied to respiratory care

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan and implement respiratory care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions
• Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry and nebulization
• Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and assess respiratory status
• Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management
• Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans
• Participate in rounds, care conferences and patient discharge planning meetings
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
• Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols
