Job summary

Edmonds Post Acute in Edmonds, WA is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to support residents with respiratory needs and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will administer treatments, monitor status, document responses, educate residents and families, and ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained. WA RCP licensure is required, with CRT/RRT preferred and tracheostomy/ventilator experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold Washington state license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program; CRT or RRT preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with care teams.
• Compassionate, dependable and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders (nebulizers, suctioning, oxygen, etc.).
• Assess and monitor residents' respiratory status and report changes promptly.
• Document treatments and resident responses accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to create care plans.
• Educate residents, families and staff on respiratory care techniques.
• Maintain cleaning and functionality of respiratory equipment.
