Job summary

Bremerton Trails Post Acute in Bremerton, WA is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our care team in a full-time, on-site role. The RT will work with nursing and therapy staff to provide respiratory treatments, monitor status, and support care planning.

Qualified candidates hold a WA RCP license, have completed an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred), and demonstrate excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State license/certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred).
  • Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, oxygen administration, etc.
  • Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status, promptly reporting changes to the nursing and medical team
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment
  • Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our care team. This role plays a key part in supporting residents with respiratory needs and working closely with nursing and therapy staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
