Job summary

Sequim Bay Post Acute in Sequim, WA is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our care team. This full-time position supports residents with respiratory needs, collaborates with nursing and therapy staff, and contributes to personalized care plans.

The successful candidate will hold a Washington State RCP license, have a Respiratory Therapy program degree (CRT/RRT preferred), and bring strong communication and compassionate, resident-focused care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Washington State license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; CRT/RRT preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders (nebulizers, suction, oxygen).
• Assess and monitor residents' respiratory status and report changes promptly.
• Document treatments and resident responses accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to create care plans.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of RT equipment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our care team. This role plays a key part in supporting residents with respiratory needs and working closely with nursing and therapy staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, oxygen administration, etc.
• Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status, promptly reporting changes to the nursing and medical team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment
• Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment

Qualifications

• Current Washington State license/certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred)
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
