Job summary

Accendra Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist for on-site part-time work in Green Bay, WI, covering the Northeast Wisconsin region and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. You will perform home visits, set up oxygen and ventilation equipment, and educate patients and families.

The role includes accompanying travel about 1.5 days per week with a 2-3 day workweek schedule, and mileage reimbursement. Requires WI RT license and CPR certification, with travel across service areas.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active WI RT license.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment operation and cleaning.
• Assess needs, document care, and escalate concerns.
• Respond to discharge requests and coordinate with physicians and branch teams.
• Operate respiratory equipment and perform tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2).
• Maintain documentation using iPad/laptop.

Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different

This role supports patients across Northeast Wisconsin while also assisting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, offering a variety of patient interactions and a manageable travel schedule. Key Highlights

• Work Arrangement: On‑site.
• Schedule: Part time (2 - 3 days per week), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Travel: Approximately 1.5 days per week.
• Coverage Area: Green Bay, WI and support for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
• Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursed at $0.70 per mile.
• Salary range $32 - $36 per hour.
• Compensation offered may vary based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

What you’ll do

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalated concerns appropriately.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs, collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non‑invasive ventilation.
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.
• Performs other duties as required.

What we look for

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active WI RT license.
• Open to various experience levels; preference for experienced candidates.
• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
• Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
• Hold a current CPR Certification.
• Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
