Job summary

Phipps Neighborhoods is seeking a part-time Residential Aide for the Courtlandt Community SRO. You will maintain front door security, supervise residents, and support program operations on-site in an SRO setting.

Responsibilities include welcoming residents, handling intakes, conducting rounds, fire safety, incident reporting, and collaborating with staff. Must hold NYS Security Guard license and complete required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate.
• New York State Security Guard License is required.
• 8 Hour & 16 Hour Security Guard certifications required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred or have prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors all residents, staff and visitors entering and leaving the facility.
• Answers telephone and directs calls to staff or department.
• Welcomes and orients new clients; conducts preliminary intakes and reviews house rules.
• Prepare intake packages for new clients.
• Conducts vertical tours of the facility.
• Manages fire safety and other emergency procedures.
• Monitors fire alarm system and conducts fire drills.
• M ake daily rounds of the apartments.
• Maintains daily visitor and resident sign-in logs.
• Conducts apartment inspections and inventory before and after vacancies.
• Prepares incident reports and logs them in the data system.
• Contacts EMS/FDNY/NYPD in emergencies.
• Attends trainings to keep certifications up to date.
