Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents. You will work as part of a collaborative team, help with Casual and Fine Dining, carry trays, and ensure excellent service.

This role emphasizes a caring, community-focused environment and room for growth within a supportive team. Applicants must be at least 15 years old, able to communicate in English, and obtain any required food handler permits within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits within two weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require a work permit before beginning employment; guidance provided by Community Manager; permit submission at hire.

Responsibilities

• Enhance dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining by carrying trays, offering beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by greeting tables, guiding menu selections, accurately taking orders, and serving courses.
• Keep the dining room clean by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, refilling water carafes, and setting tables before meals.
• Help keep areas clean by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager or supervisor when needed.
• Fill in and help with other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
