Job summary

Collier Park is seeking a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, promoting dignity and individuality. You report to the shift supervisor and Wellness Director and join a supportive, family-like environment.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, mobility support, infection control, and collaboration with the care team. Requires English proficiency and ability to lift 40 lbs; prior Assisted Living experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
• Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other wellness department associates as needed.
• Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating and mobility.
• Maintains professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Reports suspected or witnessed abuse to licensed staff.
• Follows infection control procedures and safety rules.
• Documents provision of services on company forms.
• Escorts residents and coordinates internal transportation needs.
• Observes and reports changes in residents’ condition to Wellness Director or supervisor.
