Job summary

Rutgers University in New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant in the Neuroscience & Cell Biology department at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the PI’s direction, you will support laboratory procedures and analyses for a project on Par1b/MARK2-related neuroinflammation in a mouse model.

Role includes assisting lab staff, animal husbandry, and coordinating resources. Part-time, on-site, 15–20 hours per week; prior lab exposure and willingness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at Rutgers University.

Responsibilities

• Assists lab workers as needed.
• Assists with animal husbandry and maintenance of mice.
• Organizes lab resources and assists in setup and conducting experiments as required.
• Reads relevant neurodevelopmental literature.
