Job summary

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is seeking certified and qualified applicants to serve as Part-Time Virtual Learning Facilitators. These virtual teaching positions are part-time (12 month) and allow work from home, hosting live instruction via Zoom.

Ideal candidates are eager learners, excellent communicators, and collaborative team players. They will teach world languages and core/elective subjects, using a Learning Management System to deliver both synchronous and asynchronous lessons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Certification to teach subject area preferred by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
• Experience in instructional design and/or virtual learning preferred.
• Must have Act 34/Act 114/Act 151 clearances and Act 168 background checks.

Responsibilities

• Host live virtual instruction using Zoom.
• Tailor class activities to meet learners' interests and needs.
• Teach synchronously and asynchronously using an LMS.
