Department of Mental Health is seeking a part-time Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing II to serve Deaf supervisory staff in the Boston area. The role covers both on-site and remote interpreting, with responsibilities for scheduling, intern supervision, and staff training.

Qualified candidates will have NRID certification or equivalent, two years of relevant experience, and must be able to work a flexible schedule including occasional travel.

Qualifikationen

• Requires fluency in ASL and English plus knowledge of Deaf culture.
• Certified interpreter with NRID or equivalent licensure required.
• Two years of interpreting/transliteration experience preferred.

• Translate between ASL and written English; ensure professional standards.
