Adjunct faculty may serve as Instructors of Record and/ or contribute to course development. Teaching assignments occur six times per year with multiple start dates, reporting to the Chair of Arts &

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English from an accredited program.
• Experience teaching First Year Writing at the college level.
• Proficient with learning management systems and online teaching tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse students.
• Commitment to competency-based, self-paced learning.
• Technical requirements for online teaching: laptop, high-speed internet, webcam, microphone.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging online, asynchronous instruction in First Year Writing.
• Teach assigned courses within YourPace CBE program.
• Provide timely feedback on assessments (within 72 hours).
• Assist students in developing critical reading and writing skills.
• Maintain regular communication via email, Zoom, or phone.
• Utilize LMS and instructional technology effectively.
