Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Lockport is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Technician to join a physician-led team focused on patient-centered care. The role supports PT/OT providers, helps with exercise equipment setup, and assists with modalities to enhance therapy sessions.

This position covers 20 hours per week with hours Mon–Thu 7:00–7:00 and Fri 8:00–2:30, plus occasional shifts at other sites. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, Vision, 401(k) match, and paid volunteer time off.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care).
• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Understand principles, contraindications, and precautions in the use of therapy modalities.
• Identify proper patient set-up on each piece of equipment with the ability to adjust.
• Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.
• Team‑oriented.
• Attention to detail and follow‑through.
• Problem solving, lateral thinking and reasoning skills.
• Communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.
• Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment.
• Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs).
• Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
• Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
• Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.
• Monitor patient arrivals to department.
• Start patients on time for scheduled appointments / keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.
• Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.
• Perform necessary front‑end tasks including but not limited to check‑in, co‑pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.
• Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.
• Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).
