Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.**Overview:** Rehabilitation Technician**Position Highlights:*** Lockport* Physical/Occupational Therapy**Position Highlights:*** Part-Time, 20 hours/week* Hours: will vary, clinic open Monday-Thursday 7:00am-6:30/7:00pm; Fridays: 8:00am-2:30pm* Thursdays needed from 8:30am-6:30pm or 10:00am-7:00pm* Location: Lockport* Travel: Expected to travel other sites for coverage needs**Benefits:*** Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.* Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.* Employer provided life and disability insurance.* Immediate 401(k) match.* 2 days paid volunteer time off.* A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.* 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members.**Responsibilities:**Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for:**Patient care, support, and guidance**Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment.Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.)Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.**Clinic flow**Monitor patient arrivals to department.Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.**Front end tasks**Perform necessary front-end tasks including but not limited to check-in, co-pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).**Qualifications:**CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care)High School DiplomaKnowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.Understand principles, as well as contraindications/precautions in the use of therapy modalities.Can identify proper patient set-up on each piece of equipment with the ability to adjust.Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.Team-oriented.Attention to detail and follow-through.Problem solving, lateral thinking and reasoning skills.Communication skills.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.10-18.00 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
