Job summary

South Shore Hospital’s SSH OPD Rehab department in Weymouth, MA is seeking a part-time assistant to support therapists and clinical staff. The position requires at least a high school diploma and BLS certification, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One year healthcare-related experience preferred.
• Previous rehabilitation experience desirable.
• Previous coursework in health, fitness or athletics.
• Monday-Thursday 8am-1pm shift.

Responsibilities

• Clerical duties: scheduling, answering phones, calling patients, inventory, filing, mail/faxes, and data collection.
• Maintain department environment and infection control, including equipment cleaning and linen supply.
• Provide treatment to assigned patients under supervision of clinical staff.
• Complete documentation of services per department standards.
• Enter daily charges accurately according to department standards.
• Embrace technology to improve workflow and processes.
