Job summary

Shriners Children’s St. Louis is seeking a part-time Department Assistant to join our Rehab team. The position is 20 hours per week on the day shift, supporting the Rehab Services department with scheduling and administrative tasks.

You will handle correspondence, patient check-ins, mail, and supply orders while coordinating with OT/PT, Child Life, and Media Services. A High School Diploma or GED and proficient Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to promote a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Handles department correspondence, typing, photocopying, filing and department inventory.
• Prepares equipment and paperwork for shipping to outreach clinics.
• Appropriately receives and processes patients, families, visitors, staff and Shriners both on the phone and in person.
• Maintains daily rehab patient schedules.
• Schedules patients in SHCIS for OT/PT, Child Life, and Media Services, and other departments as needed.
