Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the CDH Medical Care Center 4B in Winfield, IL. This 24-hour per week position (0.6 FTE) covers day shifts with rotating weekends, 7am–7:30pm, and requires a licensed Illinois RN and BLS certification.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, collaborate with physicians and staff, document in the health record and participate in shared governance. ADN welcomed with BSN planned within 3 years.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data to identify expected outcomes and develops an individualized care plan.
• Directs care and coordinates with any nursing assistants or staff.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and ancillary staff; documents plans and progress.
• Participates in shared governance, committees and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and updates the care plan as needed.
• Uses best available evidence to guide nursing practice.
• Maintains Illinois RN license and BLS certification.
