CareRite Centers in St. James, NY seeks a Part Time Registered Dietitian to join our team. The role emphasizes nutrition history interviews, diet order updates, and patient-centered dietary care across residents.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and is a Registered Dietitian or RD eligible, with full COVID-19 vaccination. Competitive part-time scheduling and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team are offered.

Qualificações

• Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
• Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD eligible.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients and/or family for nutritional history and preferences.
• Update diet orders and menu changes in computer software as needed.
• Assess patients and document in patients’ medical records.
• Recommend therapeutic diet modifications and/or supplements to physicians for patients.
• Ensure accuracy of diet orders by checking against physician’s order.
• Calculate nutrient content of tube feeding as ordered by physicians.
• Provide nutritional guidance and counseling to patients and families.
• Assess/Monitor residents' nutritional status and develop care plans.
• Assess feeding ability and advise adaptive feeding equipment to OT as needed.
• Evaluate nutrition support needs, skin changes, weight changes, and related care.
• Monitor meal service to ensure diet modifications are followed.
• Routinely evaluate dietary care plans for effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologist for dysphagia diets.
• Work with Wound Care Team to promote healing.
