Job summary

Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Putnam County, NY seeks a Registered Dietitian to oversee nutritional care for residents, plan and modify therapeutic diets, and contribute to care plans.

Excellent documentation, quarterly nutrition reviews, and adherence to state and federal regulations are expected.

Qualifications

• Meets the Commission on Dietetic Registration guidelines to practice as a Registered Dietitian.
• Preferred two years’ experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Covid-19 vaccination encouraged but not mandated.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus/nourishments and modify menus for therapeutic diets.
• Provide nutritional assessments and document findings in the medical record.
• Collaborate with Food Service Director and care teams to meet resident needs.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic diets and nutrition plans.
• Maintain nutrition policy adherence and participate in care plan meetings.
