Job summary

HHS is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to lead nutritional therapy within Sumner Regional Medical Center’s culinary team. You will complete assessments, provide education to patients and staff, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient nutrition.

The role emphasizes nursing coordination, regulatory compliance, and proactive, compassionate leadership in a fast-paced hospital setting. 20 hours weekly, starting at $35/hour.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and medical nutrition therapy.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Educate patients, families, nursing, food service and staff on nutritional needs.
• Document assessments and nutrition plans in the medical record.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on nutritional status.
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements.
• Attend patient rounds and support nutrition policies to ensure compliance.
