The YMCA of Dane County is seeking a dynamic Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This role focuses on sourcing and selecting talent to support our mission of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

You will collaborate with department leaders to understand staffing needs and drive effective hiring campaigns. Ideal candidates bring 1 year of recruiting or HR experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• One year Recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition experience required.
• Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices is ideal.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
• Proficient in Google applications and applicant tracking systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Partnership with Directors and HR Team to understand staffing needs and requirements.
• Draft and post job advertisements on job boards and social media.
• Source candidates using online databases, social media platforms, networking, and community outreach.
• Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews with Directors.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and Directors.
• Conduct reference checks and assist with background screening processes.
• Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure accurate documentation.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Assist with onboarding paperwork when needed.
• Lead recruitment initiatives such as job fairs and community hiring events.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
