Job summary

The City of Delray Beach is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to plan and supervise diverse recreational activities. You will oversee Recreation Leader staff, coordinate events, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for participants of all ages.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in related fields. A valid Florida driver’s license and CPR/AED/First Aid certification are required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of verifiable supervisory experience in childcare, recreation programming or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise recreational activities and events for diverse age groups.
• Supervise Recreation Leader staff and operate under general supervision.
• Drive recreation van on field trips as needed.
• Be available for mandatory special events (e.g., July 4th, Tree Lighting, Holiday Parade, St Patrick's Parade).
• Comply with background checks and safety requirements for employees working with the public.
