The Town of Matthews seeks a part-time Recreation Assistant to help organize and conduct a variety of programs for children and adults. This on-site role includes supervision for rentals and events, facilities setup, and records maintenance; hours not to exceed 19 per week, with evening and weekend availability.

Pay is $15 per hour. Candidates should be flexible with schedule and obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification; background checks required.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education equivalent to some coursework in high school and experience in recreational programming is preferred.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification is preferred or required.

Responsabilités

• Organize games and activities for programs and events.
• Assist with delivery of recreation programs and events.
• Supervise participants and activities in facilities.
• Maintain program/event schedules and prepare reports.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
