Job summary

Carteret County Government is seeking a Part-time Recreation Leader to join the Parks & Recreation team. The role supports and coordinates county-wide recreational programs and assists at Western Park Community Center.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be 18+, and able to work some evenings and weekends. Pay is $17.49 per hour for up to 19 hours weekly, with duties including program planning, supervision and public promotion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in recreational programming or leading activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise games and activities at the Recreation Center.
• Open and close the Center and supervise during open hours.
• Ensure safety and proper behavior of participants.
• Assist with cleaning, maintenance and center setup for events.
• Promote programs and manage inventory of supplies.
