Job summary

City of High Point’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Recreation Attendant in High Point, NC. The role supports the Recreation Center Supervisor by helping run daily programs, supervise campers, and maintain safety and order during operations.

The position requires being at least 18, a High School diploma or equivalent, and a NC driver’s license. Schedule includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily attendance records for all program participants.
• Plan, organize and coordinate weekly activities including field trips, sports, crafts, swimming and events.
• Greet parents and children and ensure proper check-in and pick-up.
• Prepare camp areas and materials; transport campers to activity sites.
• Enforce safety rules and inspect equipment daily.
• Open/close the facility and secure it as scheduled.
