Job summary

Bend Park and Recreation District is seeking a Facility Shift Lead to oversee operations of a recreation facility, managing multiple staff, programs, and daily activities. This part-time role requires strong leadership, coordination, and commitment to safety.

You will adjust schedules, respond to conditions, supervise front-line staff, ensure health standards, handle public inquiries, and support program areas. Availability Friday through Monday is required; first review date noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses preferred.
• Two years recreation facility experience; at least 1 year team lead experience.
• Any satisfactory combination of education, experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ongoing operations of a recreation facility with multiple staff and programs.
• Provides leadership to front-line staff, assigns work and manages schedules.
• Leads assigned program areas, mentors staff, and assists with hiring.
• Adjusts facility scheduling based on needs, safety and budget.
• Oversees facility operations during shifts, including safety and maintenance reporting.
• Ensures health standards and risk management across staff and programs.
• Handles public inquiries with a positive, constructive approach.
• Acts as on-site Emergency Action Plan lead and manages incidents.
• Reports incidents as required and maintains professional relations with the public.
