Job summary

The City of Glendale Recreation department is seeking part-time staff to prepare and maintain recreation facilities for daily operations and events. Responsibilities include setting up rooms, audio-visual equipment, and safety guidance for participants.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, follow safety practices, and inspect equipment. Prior maintenance or customer service experience is a plus; 18+ and CPR/First Aid readiness preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Understand and follow safe working practices.
• Perform general maintenance and service requirements of equipment in area of responsibility.
• Maintain the appropriate state of Arizona driver license with relevant endorsements.
• Interact effectively and courteously with the public and other employees.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and sets up facilities for daily operation and special events.
• Inventories facility supplies regularly and provides information about any items that might be needed.
• Assures facilities and equipment are in good working order and arranged to meet safety standards and the requirements of users.
• Performs basic maintenance and repair work as needed.
• Interacts with the public in responding to questions and assisting in preparation for programs and events.
• Performs other related duties as required.
