Pay Rate: $18.33/hr
Provides oversight during a variety of programs and activities in a recreation center or similar facility; performs related duties as required. This position works Monday–Thursday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings, requiring a minimum of 10–18 hours weekly.
This position involves light work requiring the employee to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force and less force frequently to move objects. Physical activities may include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Additional requirements: sufficient visual acuity to prepare and analyze data figures and visually inspect equipment. The worker may be subjected to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, noise, blood borne pathogens, and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
Knowledge of athletics and various games, sports and activities; understanding of rules, materials and equipment requirements; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with City Officials, employees and the public; ability to present facts and exercise sound judgment; initiative, resourcefulness, good organization skills, thoroughness and dependability.
High school graduation and some experience and knowledge with athletic programs and events; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
