Job summary

City of High Point seeks an enthusiastic Recreation Center Assistant to support programs for older adults at the Center for Active Adults. Starting pay is $15.95 per hour, with mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays required.

You will assist and lead various programs, maintain attendance records, provide excellent customer service, and help with equipment setup, safety rules, and daily operations under supervision. The work location is 921 Eastchester Dr, Suite 1230, High Point, NC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and implement stimulating recreational programs for older adults, creating a safe environment, and encourage participation.
• Maintain daily attendance records for all registered participants.
• Greet participants and provide excellent customer service.
• Drive the community van as needed.
• Enforce center policies and safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
