Job summary

Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs is seeking a part-time Residential Aide in Philadelphia, PA. The role supports the One Day At A Time (ODAAT) shelter program, providing compassionate care in a 24/7 residential setting and ensuring resident safety and program objectives are met.

Responsibilities include intake, medication monitoring, meals, documentation, and collaboration with staff. A valid PA driver’s license is preferred, with weekend and holiday shifts required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; related trainings preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake and orientation of clients.
• Monitor and document medication administration per policies.
• Conduct hourly house rounds and log results.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and supply inventory.
• Provide shelter and safety for residents.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Transport clients using program vehicles when needed.
