Acadia Healthcare's Southwest Vegas Comprehensive Treatment Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Part-time Peer Recovery Support Specialist to help patients recover from Opioid Use Disorder and bridge gaps to treatment. You will support clinicians, promote engagement, and encourage sustained recovery.

The role emphasizes peer-led guidance, patient empowerment, and coordination with community resources to improve housing, education, and employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• PRSS certification required.
• Direct experience in substance use disorder (SUD) through personal life experiences, instruction or internships is highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides peer support to clinically complex patients, drawing on common experiences as a peer and guiding recovery.
• Engages patients at initial contact to expedite screening for appropriate level of care.
• Acts as advocate and mentor to promote empowerment and engagement in recovery.
• Models coping techniques and self-help strategies to promote growth and reduce stress.
• Provides peer support knowledge related to MAT and treatment options.
• Serves as a liaison to connect patients with housing, healthcare, and social services.
• Assists patients in establishing primary care relationships and coordinating care.
• Supports patients in obtaining and maintaining employment.
• Documents activities and maintains confidentiality per policy.
