Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Medford Comprehensive Treatment Center in Medford, OR, seeks a Peer Support Specialist to assist patients in recovery from opioid use disorder and related conditions, bridging services and supporting engagement.

You will draw on lived experience and provide guidance, advocate for patients, and help connect them with housing, healthcare, and employment resources within a coordinated care team.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Direct experience in substance abuse through personal life experiences, instruction/internship or similar practicum required.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to patients in recovery, using lived experience to guide engagement and empowerment.
• Interacts with patients at initial contact to help assess appropriate level of care and admission.
• Acts as liaison between patients, clinical team and community resources to support housing, healthcare and employment needs.
