Job summary

Harbor Light Center, a men’s relapse prevention and transitional housing program operated by The Salvation Army, seeks a part-time Recovery Case Manager in Denver, Colorado. Under supervision, you will provide individualized case management, link clients to services, and help develop treatment plans.

This temporary internship-like role emphasizes crisis intervention, housing plans, and collaboration with Veterans in transitional housing.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in or recently admitted to a master’s degree program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Public Administration, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Strong interest in working with individuals impacted by substance use, homelessness, incarceration, and/or other barriers to stability.
• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working with program participants and staff.
• Prior experience in behavioral health, social services, criminal justice, or community-based setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct program services to Harbor Light residents using cognitive behavioral techniques and strength-based approaches, including case management, crisis intervention, and housing plans.
• Coordinate comprehensive screenings and assessments to collect psychosocial, financial, employment, housing, and health information.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and relapse prevention strategies.
• Coordinate case conferences with clients and service team; monitor progress and assist clients to meet goals.
• Lead weekly group therapy and educational sessions; follow assigned curricula.
• Complete discharge summaries and maintain case records and related reporting.
