Job Summary
The Receptionist plays a supporting role in the daily operations of Hope Media Group’s headquarters and serves as the “ambassador of first impressions” for all who visit or call. This role ensures a welcoming, hospitable, and efficient environment for guests, team members, ministry partners, and the public. The receptionist will report directly to the Sr. HR/Volunteer Services Lead and will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to Hope Media Group staff, Board, listeners, and guests.
This position is 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Essential Functions
Team Member & Guest Relations
- Greet and welcome all guests and team members warmly, representing Hope Media Group’s culture and core virtues.
- Manage front desk phone operations: answer calls, direct inquiries, and ensure prompt responses.
- Oversee visitor check-ins, security protocols, and ensure hosts are notified.
Prayer
- Be willing to pray with callers when a prayer volunteer is not available
- Maintains a non-denominational approach when praying for listeners who call in (use for prayer dept)
Administrative Support
- Assist staff with clerical duties as assigned
Demonstrated Faith
- Pray for coworkers in team meetings
- Participate in on-air fundraising and pray for donors over the phone as needed
- Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
- Attend weekly Staff Gatherings for prayer and devotions
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside the organization.
Non-Essential Functions
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 1 year experience in customer service
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and Biblically literate.
- Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.
- Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.
- Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
- Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
- Exhibits a strong moral character.
- Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.
