Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) is seeking a friendly receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in our Illinois clinics. You will guide check-in, collect data, schedule appointments, and help ensure a smooth visit experience in a patient-centered medical home.

Responsibilities include processing payments, delivering excellent customer service, and contributing to ACCESS' mission of improving community health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic proficiency with computers.
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Position Summary

• Serve as patients’ first point of contact and create a welcoming and supportive environment at the front desk.
• Guide patients through check-in, collect accurate data, schedule appointments, process payments, and ensure their visit is smooth and efficient.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to support ACCESS' patient-centered medical home model.
• Advance organizational goals to improve patient care and community health outcomes.
• Receive comprehensive training and hands‑on experience with Epic, one of the world's leading Electronic Medical Record systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic proficiency in computer skills
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Receptionist experience in a health care setting
• Customer service experience
• Administrative experience
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems experience
