Location: Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center – Irvington, New Jersey
Shift: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $15.49 per hour
Job Description:
Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a professional and empathetic Part-time Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls to appropriate personnel or departments.
Deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when the intended recipient is unavailable.
Provide accurate information about the organization, including address, directions, and general inquiries.
Operate the paging or telephone system as needed.
For residents without phones, redirect calls to the nursing unit for communication facilitation.
Respond to internal requests and locate personnel through the paging system.
Greet visitors and direct them to the correct office or resident room.
Offer assistance and directions to visitors, guests, residents, and sales representatives.
Ensure that visitors adhere to facility rules and maintain safety protocols.
Monitor the front door for elopement-risk residents and manage visitor access/sign-in processes.
Maintain current resident files and a list of key personnel for reference.
Adhere to HIPAA requirements and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff members.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of prior receptionist or customer service experience.
Strong communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
Empathy and compassion when dealing with residents and families.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Reliable and conscientious with a positive outlook.
