We are looking for that "special someone" who wants to join a dynamic team in Honoring God through Excellent Service to Seniors! We, at Dominion Senior Living, are in need of a Part Time Receptionist who can work a minimum of 2 days weekly in "giving out smiles" and "extending helping hands" to visitors and our residents. We need someone with an outgoing personality, gentle soul, and a giant love for the senior population. Is that you?
Summary of Responsibility
Answer the telephone and greet visitors in a pleasant and professional manner. Handle other clerical and administrative work as assigned by the Executive Director.
Duties
- Greet visitors at our community front reception desk in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Triage incoming calls and ensure questions and needs are directed to the appropriate person.
- Serve as community ambassador to visitors; answer general questions from potential residents and inquiring families and provide informational brochures and packets as requested.
- Perform administrative and clerical support tasks for community, including updating resident rosters and distributing mail.
- Develops and maintains service relationships to fulfill the needs of residents, guests, or employees.
- Creates name badges for New Hires
Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification, Age Requirement
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of office experience
- Hospitality orientated with excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computer software, applications, and basic typing skills.
- Flexibility with schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must enjoy working with the senior population.
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Approved criminal background check, physical, drug screen and TB skin test required.
Additional Duties
- Assists with community special events, including outreach to the greater community.
- Lives the Dominion Senior Living culture in all aspects of the position; demonstrates the Dominion Senior Living "L.O.V.E." model and professionalism when interacting with residents, resident representatives, team members, and the general public.
- Engages in open communication within and between community departments and is cooperative.
- Attends and actively participates in team meetings as required or optional continuing education programs.
- Assists in the evacuation of residents as necessary.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all resident information and honors the residents' personal property rights.
- Maintains a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the Executive Director or other Team Leaders.

- Must be willing to work hours required to complete the duties of the position, including weekend and holiday hours as scheduled and/or needed.
Knowledge Requirements
- Must have at minimum a high school degree.
